Cabinda Mothers Confirmed at Expo-Cabinda 2025

Cabinda, July 4, 2025 – In an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm, the organization of Expo-Cabinda 2025 made an official visit to the Praça de Cabassango market, with the aim of integrating local vendors into the third edition of the Cabinda International Fair, the largest economic event in the province.

The visit was attended by Nenette Solange dos Santos, Josefina Neto, and Amélia Tati, who interacted with the vendors and issued an official invitation to participate in the event. Ten women entrepreneurs, affectionately known as "mamãs da praça," were selected to represent the talent and resilience of Cabinda's informal workers.

As part of its commitment to inclusion and promoting the local economy, the Expo-Cabinda 2025 organization has made a special space available within the fairgrounds. There, these women will have the opportunity to sell their agricultural products: fruits, vegetables, traditional dishes, fish, African fabrics, and other goods representative of Cabindan culture.

"It was with great emotion that the mothers received this invitation. Expo-Cabinda is a unique opportunity to highlight the daily efforts of these women who courageously support entire families," said Nenette Solange dos Santos.

Expo-Cabinda 2025 will be held from July 11 to 14 and will bring together local, national, and international companies, investors, public and private institutions, as well as representatives from academia and civil society. The participation of the Cabassango market vendors reinforces the inclusive and community-based nature of the fair, while promoting local commerce and the region's cultural identity.
