The new Luanda Convention Palace has been inaugurated.

Luanda, August 24, 2026 — Angola now has a new benchmark infrastructure for hosting major national and international events: the Luanda Convention Palace , officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço , in a ceremony held in the Chicala area, Ingombota Municipality .

Located in an area of approximately 80,000 square meters , next to Luanda's new waterfront, the new complex was designed to host a wide variety of events, including summits, conferences, congresses, diplomatic and business meetings, economic, cultural and commercial events , reinforcing Angola's capacity to host large-scale initiatives.

A new benchmark for events in Angola.

The Luanda Convention Center features a conference room with a capacity of 375 seats , a multi-purpose theater for approximately 3,000 people , multi-functional meeting rooms, catering areas, and ample parking.

The infrastructure was also designed to allow for the simultaneous execution of different activities, offering conditions for institutional meetings, economic forums, business meetings, cultural events, and major international events.

Its strategic location and the size of the complex reinforce Luanda's position as a destination with a growing capacity to host business tourism, congresses, and international events .

The inauguration of the Convention Palace represents more than just the opening of a new infrastructure. It also constitutes an important step in Angola's strategy to strengthen its capacity to host events of continental and international scope.
