ABBB at the Global Tourism Forum – Angola Investment Summit 2026: a presence committed to the future of Angolan tourism.
From June 17th to 19th, 2026, a delegation from ABBB participated in the Global Tourism Forum – Angola Investment Summit, held in Luanda, Angola. The summit was promoted by the Angolan Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the Global Tourism Forum Institute and brought together government leaders, investors, financial institutions, experts, entrepreneurs, and representatives of international organizations.
Held under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Angola, the meeting positioned Luanda as an important forum for dialogue on investment, economic development, tourism, innovation, and international cooperation.
A strategic platform for tourism investment.
The Global Tourism Forum – Angola Investment Summit was conceived as a platform to mobilize international capital, strengthen public-private collaboration, and promote strategic projects capable of boosting tourism and contributing to the economic diversification of Angola.
Throughout the three days, the summit fostered debates and meetings between different stakeholders, with a focus on financing, infrastructure, international partnerships, the competitiveness of destinations, and sustainable investment in tourism.
The presence of ABBB
The participation of an ABBB delegation in the Global Tourism Forum – Angola Investment Summit is part of a strategy to strengthen the organization's presence in the main economic and institutional spaces of the African continent.
This presence provided an opportunity to closely follow the main trends in the sector, establish contacts with different stakeholders from the public and private sectors, and explore new possibilities for cooperation and investment.
Beyond the business dimension, ABBB's participation reflects a commitment to contributing to closer ties between African and international actors and to the development of partnerships capable of generating sustainable value.
A strong institutional framework
The event featured strong institutional participation, including the President of the Republic of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the Minister of Tourism, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo Daniel Sandão Queirós Viegas de Abreu, members of the Central Government, the Provincial Governor of Luanda, and representatives from various international institutions and organizations. The presence of officials from strategic areas such as tourism and transport highlighted the importance of an integrated approach to the development of destinations, connectivity, and the infrastructure necessary to attract tourism investment.
This institutional dimension reinforced the importance of the summit as a privileged space to develop dialogue, strengthen networks, and create connections between institutions, companies, investors, and partners committed to the development of African tourism.
Tourism as an engine of development
One of the main themes of the meeting was the affirmation of tourism as a strategic sector for economic diversification, job creation, attracting investment, and sustainable development. The presentation of UN Tourism's guidelines for tourism investment in Angola also reinforced the need to transform the country's potential into concrete projects and opportunities.
Through its delegation present in Luanda, ABBB reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that promote innovation, investment, cooperation and value creation in Africa, with particular attention to opportunities that contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism sector.
ABBB's participation in the Global Tourism Forum – Angola Investment Summit 2026 thus represented a significant opportunity to strengthen its presence in African economic and institutional spaces and to further its commitment to stronger, more sustainable and future-oriented cooperation.
